Jo\u017ee Bedi\u010d (1923\u20132007) of Jesenice was collecting fossils of protozoa, corals, snails, shells, trilobites, bryozoans mainly in the Karavanke (in Javorni\u0161ki Rovt, at Pristava, in Planina pod Golico, Na Pe\u010deh, above Dovje, at Kofce) and also in the Julian Alps and elsewhere. \u00a0He walked hundreds of kilometres and each time he came home with his backpack, full of rocks. Jo\u017ee Bedi\u010d gifted an extensive collection to Gornjesavski muzej Jesenice. You can see fossils which were named after Jesenice (<em>Brahiopod jesenicianus<\/em>) and Jo\u017ee Bedi\u010d: trilobite genus is called\u00a0 <em>Bedicella<\/em>, while a trilobit species is <em>Paladin (Kaskia) bedici<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-10120","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
